Robert Portale, SCRP, SGMS-T
President & CEO

Bob is an executive and real estate professional with mobility and real estate industry experience beginning in 1989. Bob has an extensive background in relocation, and has held positions in operations management, account management, and business development. A transferee himself, Bob has relocated several times.

Bob joined RELO Direct® as the President & CEO in 2006. Since joining RELO Direct®, Bob has developed the company from a small, regionally based provider to a robust, consultative, global organization with a growing and diverse client base. Through the execution of his strategic business plan, Bob has developed RELO Direct® into the partner of choice for global companies in the pharmaceutical, automotive, health care, technology, retail, and government sectors, amongst others. During his tenure as the leading executive, 100% of clients report RELO Direct® meets or exceeds expectations. Also during his leadership, employee turnover has remained low (approximately 3% annually) and profits have met or exceeded plan.

As President & CEO, Bob is involved in all areas of managing RELO Direct®, including sales, marketing, client engagement, and operations. He actively participates in client solution strategy, marketing initiatives, and education forums. Bob is a highly visible leader in the real estate and relocation industry.

Bob holds both the SCRP® (Senior Certified Relocation Professional) and the SGMS-T® (Senior Global Mobility Specialist: Strategic Talent Management) designations from Worldwide ERC®. Bob was one of only eight leaders in the mobility industry to earn the specialized Strategic Talent Management classification. Bob also holds a Real Estate license and was awarded Worldwide ERC’s Meritorious Service Award in 2005.

Dianne Amos, CRP, SGMS-T
Senior Vice President, Client Services

Dianne joined RELO Direct® in 2008, as Vice President, Client Services, bringing with her extensive experience in both domestic and global relocation, especially in managerial and supervisory capacities.

Based upon her demonstrated success in managing all aspects of an international assignment services team, Dianne was promoted in 2015 to the position of Senior Vice President, Client Services. In this role, Dianne is responsible for all client services functions, including; relationship management, service and accounting operations, vendor management and technology.

Dianne is a well-respected industry figure with extensive experience in relocation. She has worked at several relocation management companies holding positions including Vice President, Global Services; Account Executive; Director of Global Operations; and Manager of International Assignments. Dianne is especially experienced at developing strong internal and external relationships in culturally diverse environments.

Dianne holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in both French and Political Science from Benedictine College and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Missouri. She has also lived and worked abroad in both France and Italy. Dianne speaks English, French, and Italian, and has earned both the Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Global Mobility Specialist, Strategic Talent Mobility (GMS-T) designations from Worldwide ERC®.

Roger Atchinson, CRP
Senior Vice President, Consulting Services

Roger is a relocation industry veteran with four decades years of professional experience. During his career, he has worked in staff and line management positions involving sales, marketing, product management, account management, and client services. His multi-industry experience in sales, including an eleven year career with a major pharmaceutical company, lends to his flexibility and demonstrates his willingness to explore new territory.

Roger joined RELO Direct® in 2008 as Vice President of Sales. From 2010 through 2013 he was Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing and led a team of business development and marketing professionals. In 2013, Roger migrated to a new position that highlights his skills in solutions development and consultative communications. As the Senior Vice President, Consulting Services, Roger oversees the management of RELO Direct’s Global Mobility Roundtable, a non-commercial environment for all stakeholders involved in the relocation continuum to network, share practices and insights, and discuss market trends. Roger is also heavily involved in industry research and writes on topics discovered through this consultation with relocation professionals, clients, and suppliers.

He is a member of Worldwide ERC® and holds the CRP® (Certified Relocation Professional) designation. In addition to hosting the Global Mobility Roundtable, Roger also continues to actively participate in several regional ERC groups.

Roger attended Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan Universities and earned a BS in Secondary Education.

Brian Fudenberg, CRP
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Brian joined RELO Direct® in May, 2016, with more than 26 years of experience in mobility and real estate to RELO Direct®. In the role of Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Brian leads RELO Direct’s sales and marketing team and has full responsibility for all aspects of business solution and marketing deliverables. In addition, Brian is instrumental in developing content for RELO Direct’s annual Corporate Forum and quarterly Global Mobility Roundtable events. And, as part of the senior management team, Brian actively participates in shaping RELO Direct’s strategic vision and guiding the company in its future growth.

Brian’s professional experience began in the early 1990s in residential real estate sales, where he was a multi-million dollar producer. From there, his experience grew more varied, including work in transportation and global mobility. In his most recent role prior to joining RELO Direct®, Brian led his former employer’s business development efforts, generating more than 50% of the company’s overall revenue. In addition, he collaborated extensively with the sales, communications, and leadership teams.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in business administration from Mankato State University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He also bears the Certified Relocation Professional® (CRP®) designation from Worldwide ERC®. Brian is a highly visible leader in the mobility industry, having served in various capacities on the boards of both the Minnesota Employee Relocation Council and the Corporate Relocation Council of Chicago (CRC), where he is currently the president. He is also very active in community leadership and volunteering opportunities.

Hirsch Serman, MBA, CPA
Senior Vice President, Client Finance

Hirsch has an extensive and varied background in professional and executive level positions both inside and outside the mobility arena as well as major successes as an entrepreneur. In the role of Senior Vice President, Client Finance, Hirsch is the executive leader of our Client Finance and Accounting department and has the responsibility for all aspects of RELO Direct’s client finance deliverables.

Hirsch has held executive tax and expense management positions with one of the largest relocation management companies in the industry and worked as an auditor at one of the “Big 4” accounting firms where he audited relocation companies. His experience in the relocation industry began in 1997 and he has presented at multiple industry conferences. This experience ensures he has the finely honed skills critical to the expert management of our client finance operations. One of Hirsch’s unique professional achievements is his entrepreneurial success. The level of flexibility, self-reliance, and responsiveness required to make start-ups and newly formed enterprises profitable means Hirsch has the qualities to respond in a unique and competent way to the ever-changing needs of RELO Direct’s clients.

Hirsch earned an undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University and his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Hirsch is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is a past recipient of both the Chairman’s and President’s Awards from SIRVA, was a guest speaker with the Government Advisory Board on Relocation (GRAB), and was a guest lecturer at Cleveland State University and University of Memphis on the subjects of leadership, management, and non-profit administration.

Patricia Tooman, CRP, GMS
Senior Vice President, Government Services

Pat joined our team in 2013, bringing with her over 20 years in account management, including 13 years of experience supporting the government sector. In her current role, Pat oversees the sales, account management, and operational activities of RELO Direct’s U.S. government services group.

Prior to joining RELO Direct®, Pat worked in diverse roles such as executive vice president, operations; vice president, government services, and account executive for leading relocation companies. She has extensive experience in all areas of government contract administration and related duties, including providing general oversight of all operations functions, facilitating the development and implementation of government-approved quality control plans, providing oversight in developing and implementing performance metrics for suppliers, and ensuring compliance with agency specific Statements of Work (SOW).

Pat has earned Worldwide ERC’s Certified Relocation Professional (CRP®) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS™) designations. Additionally, she has completed the GSA Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) training course, and is current on the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Pat served on the Governmentwide Relocation Advisory Board (GRAB) and has been a key participant in several government industry forums. She is an active member of the relocation community and has served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Washington ERC (GWERC) in several positions, including her current position as President. She is also a member of both the Worldwide ERC® and the National Association of Female Executives.

Pat holds an Associate of Science in Business degree from Bryant and Stratton Business Institute. She is also a recipient of the Army Coin of Excellence and is a veteran of the US Military, having served in the US Air Force.
