Building a Flexible Mobility Solution to Support Critical Talent Needs

A long‑standing RELO Direct® client in the southeastern United States was experiencing widening staffing gaps in a specialized segment of their workforce. These roles, non‑exempt positions requiring highly technical skills, were increasingly difficult to fill. While mobility benefits had historically been reserved for higher‑level positions, solving this talent shortage required a fresh, more inclusive strategy.

 

Our Solution

The RELO Direct® team analyzed relevant demographic and mobility related data to understand the needs of this employee group.  Using this data, we designed and proposed a mobility program tailored to the needs of this unique employee group to the client. 

 

Our solution features a hybrid mobility approach that combines a lump‑sum benefit with our Direct to Employee (D2E) suite of services. This approach will offer structure and support to a non-traditional transferee population while remaining cost‑efficient and easy to administer.

What was first conceived as a solution for a narrow workforce segment is now being evaluated as a versatile mobility framework capable of supporting multiple staffing and talent acquisition needs across the organization. The result is a scalable, inclusive mobility program that strengthens talent pipelines, accelerates hiring, and supports long‑term workforce planning.
